It's been about two months since we moved back into the City. We have been so grateful to be back, and we are slowly but surely getting settled. I wanted to share some moments from our first days in the new apartment. We couldn't be happier with the apartment we found (and I would definitely recommend Rent Direct if you are searching for No Fee Apartments in NYC.)
Our Mantle - The card features a great, personalized rendition of the Friends theme song, courtesy of Rich and Jessa!
Barry was our Roomie for about 3 weeks while he hunted for an apartment.
So many great friends helped us with our move! They're not even all pictured here!

Just "Knockin' Around" as Grandpa and Grandma Phillips would say.

"Brerin" and Bessy!! (Check out the great little fan in the background! It kept everyone cool since we didn't have a window AC yet. It used to belong to Grandma Hickson and is still going strong.)
And now for a little (messy) tour
Our Living Room, which leads into the Dining Room.

And we had some visitors!!
Jossie - who I have known since the 3rd grade in Puerto Rico, was in town studying for her Boards! She took a small break from her studies to catch up with me for a little bit. It was so nice to see her!!
Quality time with our Roomie, Barry!
Christy, and the Beltrez crew came to visit and get a look at our new place too.
Thanks everyone for your prayers as we searched for weeks and weeks to find an apartment. Your prayers helped us keep strong in our faith and helped us remain confident that we would find something soon. While we prayed earnestly to find an apartment, we could also sense that we were learning to have more patience, faith and trust in God and there was growth in our lives. This verse captures it well. When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience. (James 1:2-3) It's not fun to go through trials, but I can understand what it means to be full of joy even in the midst of it. In this instance, I didn't experience a joy that came with laughter and cheerfulness, but it was a joy that ran deep and brought peace and relief. We can't thank you enough for coming along side us in this time!
XOXO
YAY yay YaY!
